For those of us who bought our vehicles with TeleAid, you can still get the free upgrade to mbrace with a lifetime subscription for $299 through November! I thought the promo was over back in Feb, but I got a "last chance to upgrade" letter in the mail and decided to call to find out the details and indeed, the promo is back for a limited time!

You don't need to be a current TeleAid subscriber (I used to be up until last year). You just need to have the TeleAid telematics system in your car.

What makes mbrace better than TeleAid is Google Maps Search and Send feature and the iPhone app. Everything else is just about the same.

...just thought I'd share for those who missed the initial promo like I did.

This is going to sound stupid, but I bought my vehicle through a wholesale dealer, so I don't know if my vehicle had mbrace/TeleAid or not. How can I tell?

Look up at the sunroof control panel. There should be a SOS button there. I believe it's red, that is for teleaid.
