Anyone else having HID problems with eBay HIDs? Mine are acting wierld. They shut off randomly. Then I get a check R/L low beam.....

 

thats why I don't like buying stuff from ebay. You can never know what will go wrong. Unfortunately I don't know much about HID problems. I've had mine in for 6 months from DDMTuning and I've never had a problem. How much did you pay for you HID's?

I installed them with these resistors and still am having problems. I had to put in the stock bulbs for reliability.

 

ddm is great as well as tpsyn i think its called, they have a special for us mbworld members where u buy one kit and u get a set of replacement bulbs free. their waterproof test is quite impressive

So say I order the kit? How would I go about matching the foglights, and the Eyelids?

 

idk do u have hid on ur regular lights?

 

I am going to upgrade at top sport, and get one of their kits online. thinking 8000k. then I have to figure out to match the bulbs for the eyelids, and foglights. I wish there was a all in one kit!

 

its easy bro just get 8k on the fogs and mike on the forum sells the 8k eyelids search "azn optics"

 

Thanks man. So the kits, are they just bulbs, or everything I need including wiring and stuff. I am upgrading from stock headlights........so I cant just put in a new bulb.

 

kit comes with everything you need for an install but make sure u get a digital kit, it comes with all the wires and it leaves no need for a canbus decoder which takes a lot of space.
DO u kno what bulbs ur fogs are? mine are 9006 but I have a w203 idk about the w204.
just get the correct bulb sizes and call them up. U should buy both kits from the same company and ask for a special price.

I believe you need the error cancelers, but not the wiring harness. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

 

I heard DDM has a batch of bad ballasts. I don't know if they are still in circulation. HIDextra.com also has good kits.

 

I hope not because I just ordered a set from DDM Installing them this weekend so fingers-crossed...

 

I have a set of 55W DDM Ballasts from my old car, can I just buy the DDM H7 bulbs for my c300 and plug n play? Or do I need error cancellers and all that? They told me I might have to cut up the factory bulb holders, is that true?

 

I think you should be able to use it. Just buy the error cancelors. You do need to drill a hole on the cap so u can run the wires through
