LOADED 08' C350 & 14' GLK-350 Diamond White (P1, MM, AMG Pkg, Ln Trkng, Htd Sts, Keylss Go)
I did my Powerchip ECU upgrade exactly one year ago on my car. From what they told me I am up about 20HP, which is what it feels to me. They told me in the unlikely event of a reflash they would redo it for $100. It does require opening up the ECU. Best $600 I spent on the car. I have the active handling package which allready has a more aggresive shift program and the ecu tune make it rock thru the gears. MY gas mileage has gone down though.
does it void the warranty?

when you have more power you use less throttle so you actually use less gas. unless you drive like an idiot all the time.

for those of you who are mailing your ecu-s in, here's a quick how-to on removing your ecu. It literally takes less than a minute and requires minimal intelligence. dont blame me tho if something does break =P
pop the hood (photos from Sanjuro Makabe's thread)
pull the bottom part of the engine cover out. just carefully pull it and it will pop out easily.
then there are 3 tubes you need to disconnect: the two intake tubes, and the black rubber tube right below the left (passenger side) silver stripe on the cover. they'll all come off with a little bit of wiggling and pulling.
then, (video took today)

pull the top half of the cover out, disconnect the 2 plugs that connect to the ecu, and pull your ecu out

guys, what are the chances that something in the engine gets messed up and the dealer trys to blame it on your powerchip mod... does it void the warranty most likely?

The guys from powerchip said I should be around 300hp with the exhaust and filters.

Powerchip has a range of chips to suit your car, which can increase it's power to 246 hp, and it's torque to 239 lb.-ft.
