Heat gun, gloves, patience and some strong fishing line to start it at the edges. Took me and a friend about 20 mins... however I did it when my car was only a few weeks old, so the strips hadn't been on there long.

Once you remove them, clean the area and apply some wax.

Piece of cake and the look is much better. I thought those door strips to be a little to Hyundai-ish.

Haha, yeah. I definitely agree with you there. Certainly is a large number of younger owners with w204 than prior years or other models. I am turning 21 this year, and my sister is turning 25 (we both have w204's). I also think Mercedes is trying to market more towards the younger buyers with their more recent design refreshes and their aims in generation benz. It seems like they are trying to establish a tradition or introduce people to the Mercedes-Benz brand when they are young in hopes we continue to buy them when we get older.

Thanks..I'll give it a shot when I get some free time (which is rarely).

Yeah..I would've said their strategy was flawed, as I have no interest in the E-Class or above, and cant imagine having any interest in a large luxury sedan in the next decade. Then came the turbo C coupe. It all depends on pricing..I had my heart set on a Cayman next and it will take a lot to pull me away.

Jerry offered to return. He suggested I try to fit it better, which I don't think is possible as there's no wiggle room. Anyway the problem is really minor so I'll just keep it... oh well. I stand by my B- fitment rating.

I've got mine for a good few months for now and I'm still loving the looks of it. Can't believe a small mod like that would make the car stand out from the crowd so much. At least it does in my place.

Don't have the time to do it now man. I'm currently in Melbourne doing my degree while my car is back in Brunei.
