Volume rise and fall in stereo

Curious if anyone has experience a rise or fall in the volume on their stereo. I know it has an automatic rise when outside noise become louder than normal, like if u open the window while driving. But lately mine just does it off and on up, down, sometimes goes low to the point where i cant hear it, so then I have to actually turn up the volume again. Anyone have a similiar issue??

Mine adjusts volume based on speed, but I don't think it takes into account outside noise when you roll down the window.

What happens when you start singing aloud? Does the stereo get louder to drown out your singing?

That would be a good option for me!

The volume drops a lot in my car if I open the door with the music on. Courtesy to others?

Yes mine is sensitive to outside noise. The other day a very loud Harley passed me slowly and the radio instantly got louder.
