Euro Plate install
Hey guys, I decided to ditch the OE plate and go Euro.
1. Tape bumper, then find the center from the star to the bottom lip.
2. Level plate and mark where the screws are gong to go making sure to
choose holes that will give room to move plate for leveling later.
(an extra pair of hands will help)
3. Drill holes for screws where marked, then remove tape.
4. Screw on plate starting from center holes and level again.
5. Snap on plate and trim piece. Enjoy!!

Man, I'm glad we don't have to drill the front bumper in Florida - it just looks cleaner... Picked up the wife's Volvo in Sweden on a overseas delivery and was sad the bumper was drilled for the country tags. At least it's an original plate and not some wannabe vanity plate (no offense)...

No front tag = c-l-e-a-n...

None taken your C looks great I wish that I didn't have any holes in mine, but that's why I put the plate on. (I hate the O.E. plate.)

Man i wouldnt have been able to drill those holes on the bumper outside of the holder .
I tried the same thing you did on my W210 e55 .. I ordered the OEM benz euro plate holder that attaches to bumper then the black plastic peice attaches to the holder looks flush . But for some reason yours looks good as is . Good cuz that peice is hard to find if they even make it for your model .

If you want, I can send you the extra set of clips off the Volvo (see picture), and you can lose the bulky mount (I have one of those too)...

I installed mine with 3M moulding tape so I didn't have to drill and the price for the OEM euro tag bracket is ridiculous. My bumper got dinged by a frickin shopping cart and the damage wasn't enough to justify a large repair bill. I like the look of the euro plates.
Nice How-to.

It is the Lamin-x "Gunsmoke". I have removed the tint because it was REALLY too dark. I had used the "Tint" color earlier and I was much happier with the light output of that color.
+1 on the warning about the Foglight films. They WILL burn if you leave your fogs on for prolonged periods of time. I have been through 3 sets and Lamin-x even replaced them and used a high-temp adhesive which did not work.
