Silver Star Mercedes- LIC, NY
Brought my 2010 in for a oil change on Saturday. Saturday special for synthetic oil and a new filter was only $71. Additionally, they washed the car and vacuumed it and performed work for the new recall that has just been issued. In and out in 2 hours. I am thoroughly satisfied with them. A+.

Great price! I hope I get a similar deal when my car is due for service B (1300 miles to go!). When I took the car there for the Strut problem (twice) they did washed and detailed my car as well.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I have to admit, the SAs at Silver Star were friendlier, though a little "unpolished" as compared to those at Manhattan MB. However, the waiting area is nice (though, no bottled water) It's well worth the extra 2 miles over the QB bridge to get there.

Our waiting are is very nice as well and they even had bottled water! But been the only MB dealership in teh island, their prices are not the best. I paid $140 just to get my wiper blades replaced!

You do know that when you bring your car in for service at Silver Star, they are not using 0-40W Mobil 1. They are using 5-30W Mobil 1. Just wanted you to know that.

Thanks Jeff - I will take a look at the invoice when I get home tonight. But all in all, it matters little to me. I will trade it in before the warranty runs out and move onto either another C or an E.

Dont get me wrong, I definitely appreciate your input. Knowing that, I will probably mention it when I go back there for another oil change. But, for me, it doesn't make sense for us to keep the car out of warranty, especially considering what it costs to repair these vehicles. We are better off trading it in and getting something newer.
