Street name display problem

Street name display problem
Why is it that street names can only be displayed on the map when I'm zoomed in to the max (50m)? Whenever I zoom out from there the street names disappear. I'd like to use the map zoomed in at 200m but it's kind of a pain when there are no street names. I tried everything and can't seem to get it. My dad's ML displays all the street names on the map at that range which is why I find it strange that it won't in my car. Any help will be appreciated.

Mine does the same. I have been unable to find a solution...hell, even google maps on my iphone shows me street names when Im not totally zoomed in.
