Goodbye Forum

My car is officially gone It was one solid ride and will be missed. Great build quality. Felt like it could easily have lasted >200k miles. MB really hit the mark by designing the W204. It wasn't great at any one particular thing and not so good on paper, but they were able to build a car that would appeal to a wide range of drivers. A touch of class, sportiness, practicality, and quality for a reasonable price and already looks pretty good in stock form.

Wheels have already found a proud new owner. I'm parting out the Eibachs and smoked corner lights in the classified section.

It's been fun and entertaining. Thank you all for the great advice.

Thanks everyone.

I'm driving around a Pathfinder right now. But I'm pretty sure I'll be in a 2011 Range Rover Sport soon as my daily driver. Then I'm selling the Pathfinder and I'll be shopping for a used Aston Martin Vantage V8 as my dream car. That's my master plan I'm sorry for defecting.

Be very careful with the Astons. I've always liked the way they looked and sounded and didn't heed to the warnings about their reliability. I ended up selling mine after less then 1 year of ownership. Don't let me deter you from getting one, just be careful when shopping for a used one. Make sure every trip to the service station has been documented and the car wasn't neglected. Also prepare yourself emotionally and psychologically that you might get stranded a few times. I wish you all the best with your dream car and when she has no problems she will give you the biggest grin of your face ever. Good luck !

Yea. I know about the reliability issues. I'm prepared. At least I won't depend on it as a daily driver and it'll be under warranty. Vantages are not too bad compared with other Astons. But yes, the cost of ownership is ridiculous even with routine maintenance(ie. $1500 for an oil change). The Aston will be like the crazy girlfriend that you can't live with or without.

Same warning for anything from Rover. My friend got one and got rid of it within 6 months due to poor reliability. Not sure about the Range Rover but good luck.

The 2010 Range Rover Sport reliability score of 6.0 out of 10 is the Predicted Reliability rating provided by J.D. Power and Associate.
I also want to get one but if I decided to get it I will lease stead of buying.

I was debating between a Range Rover and the Range Rover Sport. I ended up getting another Benz because everyone I talked to scared me away with their poor reliability and YouTube is full of horror stories also.
