Talking OE Tuned my 2011 C300 the other day [w/Dynos]

Just thought I'd share that I had OE tuning tune a family car a 2011 C300 Sport we got about a month ago. I have to admit before the tune the car was really dissappointing in the power department (compared to what I'm used to anyway), But after the tune although its not a beast it is MUCH improved in the seat of the pants especially in off the line acceleration as you can see in the gains below the car picked up about 20 WTQ and 12 WHP thats well over 20hp at the crank and 30tq, For the money this is probably the best mod for this lil car. And if your looking for a tune I recommend you talk to these guys. They tune all my cars and I've never had a problem ever. And if I did I know it will be taken care of in the best possible manner.

I'm pretty sure no other tune on the market has provided better results on a C300. I've seen the gains they got on a C350 which is what pushed me to get it tuned in the first place and it defintely makes me wish I got one of those instead either way I'm happy. You can see the C350 results here : http://oetuning.com/blog/?p=212

A video of the run.

$650.00 is the normal price but they are running a special at $450 Including dyno time to prove the results too, not just a claim and I'm all about seeing the results on something I'm paying for.

PM me if you wanna know more.

you can call this number too (424) 245-0381

So $450 for the tune AND a dyno? Tempting......the W203 C350 showed gains of around 20HP/30TQ. Hmm.

Its done at OE Tuning shop in Van Nuys, California. You can mail in your ecu if you're out of state or something.

164.5whp out of 228hp from the crank? nearly 28% of power lost? that's huge...

Wonder how they handle that? Someone out of state isn't going to want to leave their car parked for a week or so while the ECU is moving across the country a couple of times.

Its not meant to calculate drivetrain loss their dyno is stingy mainly because it applies a higher load then most dynos which is better for tuning.

Exactly.

Actually they get tons of ecu's from all over the world everyday from people doing just that lol.

Tune?

....Just thought I'd share that I had OE tuning tune a family car a 2011 C300 Sport we got about a month ago....

The term "tune" does not tell us much. What exactly do they change to achieve these gains? Are there any parts or is it a remap of the ECU? What effect does this have on emissions and what will happen when the dealer plugs in for an error code search for something else?

They change key parameters in the ECU to make the power. If the dealer plugs in to the ECU they can't detect it but if they update the software on the car it will be written over and you will need to get it flashed again. I don't know how much it effects emissions exactly but I'm sure it won't be enough that the car won't pass an emissions test I'm sure thats the case for pretty much any tune/car. Worse case scenario you can always flash back to stock if you can't pass a test but again I'm 99.9% sure that wont be necessary. Also I've had the tune on the car for about 2 weeks and 3 thanks of fuel now with no issues and no negative effects to mpg.
