Changing LED setting on 2011 C300.

There are 2 brightness levels for the LEDs on 2011 C class.

The dimmer setting is used when the headlights are on.
The brighter setting is used in DRL mode when only the LEDs are on and headlights are off.

Is there a way for me too get the LEDs to operate in the brighter setting with the headlights on? Coming from the VW/Audi scene, these types of things are usually easily adjusted with a VAG-COM. Can the dealer do this for me maybe?

This is definitely not accessible through the Command interface. The only thing I can think of is if you go into the engineering mode (you have to search how to enable it, I don't really remember, and then snoop around). I believe you hold end call, * and 0 or something on the dash buttons beneath the screen, but I am not positive. Then go through the menus. This is probably something the dealer *can* do, but will probably not do as it would be "unsafe". To be honest, if they were as bright at night as they are during the day... It would be pretty blinding.

I was wondering the same thing. its annoying me I want it full bright full time. probably might be bright enough to be used as main headlights lol.

Same issue here... Any fix available?

Forget about dealer... They have no clue at least my dealer. For some reason, it seems after you get a car from dealer then you are on your own. You can't even buy Bi-Xeon parts from dealer to ask them to install it for you. It sucks.
I have 2011 C300 with almost everything except Bi-Xeon because it does not come with it. I also have the problem about LED. Don't know how we can keep it in brighter mode all the time.

Hi,
I start by saying that:

to mount your kit you must disconnect the fog lights.

This process automatically determines me the error "failure fog left and right. "

Proceeding with the connection of your kit, the plug of the fog light is disconnected.

The installation was done in two different ways:

1° MODE:

1° step :
The electrician has connected the "black wire" to the machine frame to create a ground circuit.

2° step:
The "red wire" has been linked to the ignition of my car so when I turn the key, the LEDs light up.

3° step:
The "blue / white wire" ,in the manual so called "A", has been linked to the positive pole of the fog light.

Because the controller is supplied with the kit allows different modes of operation:

1st: Only DRL
2nd: DRL + POSITION LIGHT
SPECIAL BRIGHTNESS 3 ° <300 CANDELA

I chose the second option, or DRL + Position light.

4° step:
To have this option, we have connected the wire called "D " (blue), which comes from the control unit supplied, with the thread called "F".

5° step:
We have connected the "orange wire" to the positive terminal of the tail lights

With the scheme that I listed above I get the following effect:

With the scheme that I listed above I get the following effect:

When I turn the key LEDs light up in DRL mode even if the system is turned offlights.

When I turn on the lights to position the LED DRL mode decreases the brightnessand turn lights.

When I turn on the fog lights, LEDs do not increase the brightness but remain in position lamps

2° MODE:

We connected the wires is different from the first only for the 4° and 5°step:

We have connected the blue wire / with the positive pole of the tail lights
while the orange wire to the positive pole of fog light.

This last procedure, however, does not allow the LEDs to function.

After having described how to connect the kit made by my electrician, can you tell me if there is any link wrong?

And if there were, can you tell me how to fix the wire connection?

MY ELECTRIC HAS DOUBTS:

Doubts about the connection of two WIRES:

1 wire:

THE LINE BLUE / WHITE CALLED "A" IN THE MANUAL
(My electrician has connected this wire to the positive pole of the fog)

The manual says that you must connect it to the light position, but in doing so, theLED flashes quickly.

2nd wire:

THE ORANGE LINE CALLED "B " IN THE MANUAL
(My electrician has connected this wire to the positive pole of lights)

The manual says that you must connect it to the "signal light" so as to convert light toposition light drl When signal light is on.

My electrician does not interpret what the user means by the term "signal light".

Please help me!

So no answer for this? I too would love to know if it is possible to keep the LED DRL's the same brightness as when the headlights are on. There must be a way!

The LED DRL comes as part of ILS xenon. Thus they are part of an integrated light system. This also means the when used at night, the LED DRL must be dimmed (otherwise they are too bright an illigal).
