kinda think that if you're going to just paint or change the color of the stock wheels, just leave the car alone. Just my opinion.
But to answer your question unless the car wash is super high pressure it shouldn't peel it off from just washing it.

Did you watch part 2. After 8 months it seems to have held up well except where he curbed them lightly. Thinking about it I don't think you would be able to touch up the finish it would need to be stripped and done fresh. Also that MK5 has dings on every panel they showed in part 2.

I didnt even notice the window trim , that looks really good . Definitely gonna try it out ... no harm really except possible time wasted .

I have used that stuff on my BMW's kidney grills before & it came out looking great (no longer have that car though)... Since then, I've been debating on spraying the grill & license plate frames with PlastiDip... Now that I see that G37 (thanks for the pics ) and what he's done with the chrome trim, I'm even more motivated to do it (grill, frames & trim).
Not sure about "wheels" though... I wonder how the heat (generated from braking, for example) will affect that finish

Edit: and mask it pretty well. Especially on the diffuser when you don't mask it perfectly and take off tape the line is straight and looks bad. So take your time

You know....after reading this as well as almost all pages of this thread on CL: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-s...-required.html I really should have held out and just plastidipped my grille black :3. I think it would make the entire process easier. Haha.
