Engine air filter change interval?

Engine air filter change interval?
08 w204 manual says change engine air filter ervery 52k miles or 4 years. Not sure about 09+ models. But in my pevrious cars, engine air filter got pretty dirty after 20k miles.

When do you guys change your engine air filter? I am thinking about doing an extra change at 26k/2years.

Whatever interval you choose, I'd still pop it open once a year to remove large stuff like moths, ect.
