Bluetooth just hangs with static now

Bluetooth just hangs with static now
Been running the Blackberry Bold with no problems the last few months via the bluetooth in the car. The other day I get in the car and the phone screen on the nav says Unknown and all I get is static. There's no call happening yet I can't "hang up" or disconnect in order to get the stereo back. I killed the bluetooth connection on the phone and things went back to normal... until I enable the Blackberry again.
I've re-paired the connection several times, including having the car listen for the phone and vice versa, both with the same outcome. I've even reset the entire stereo but to no avail.
Any ideas what's going on?

ok, figured it out. Under the bluetooth settings on the Bold was an option for Audio. I unchecked it and everything's working normally again.
Not sure how this option got added/changed in the blackberry but hopefully this helps others.
