but they are brighter and consume less power than halogen bulbs... maybe not LED strips in the headlights.. but LED city parking lights and LED strip fog lights like on the clk black series.. they actually do help illuminate the road better.

2010 Irridium Silver MB C63 AMG Sedan
exactly as mentioned above. when added on like some stupid strip, looks cheap, like its trying hard to fit in with the euro look done by audi and porsche. when incorporated into lighting housing, looks awsome.

Yes. You are right. I was talking about the ones in the headlights. A lot of people think Audi was the first to put them in the headlights.

I should have separated the two thougths a little more clearly. I was just giving my opinion on the C Class LEDs because I think they are poorly integrated.

Some of the LEDs look functional -- i.e. will be distinctly visible in broad daylight, but some -- particularly the strip/s of small blue-ish dot type ones seem useless for DRL purpose.

Why are they useless for drl purpose? They are extremely bright and more efficient.
Led is not a fad, it is a new technology.

They don't appear bright in the photos. That's why I said they don't *seem*...
