Bumper damage. How to fix?

I recently got into a small accident and the front of my bumper has a crack in it. I'm looking to find out some ways to fix it myself. Is there any type of putty or anything that I can apply and then paint over it ? I am not looking for a 100% professional look just something to get by before I replace the bumper.

Looks sort of like this

Just put a giant band-aid sticker over it until the bumper is replaced.

I recently had a crack on my rear bumper, but I was able to get it repaired and repainted at the dealership. The entire job took a day, and they did not have to take the bumper off the car. It was repaired so well that it is almost impossible to locate the previously damaged area.

Some dealers have independent contractors who specialize in repairing plastic bumpers, so you should find out from your dealer if they provide this type of repair service.

+1 . The damage does not look too bad. A competent plastic repair man should make it look like new. Well worth exploring this option.

I wouldn't even mess with it... There's a lot of DIY plastic bumper repair instructions on the web but most of them are labor intensive, Here's a link on repairing a cracked bumper on a Mercedes ML320: http://www.bodyshopzone.com/archives.../Mercedes.html

i would also try getting an estimate on some local auto body shops if they could give you a reasonable price just to repair the involved area until you want to get the whole bumper worked on or buy a new one

I would just go to a bodyshop and get it fixed. I would estimate maybe $400 at the most to fix. Otherwise a sticker is a good idea or some of the younger crowd likes to put stitches like drift cars.
