FAWK.......

FAWK me....good thing I'm getting a tune. This is ridiculous. The only thing I can stand about my car is the engine (of course I knew this going in)

Any before anyone says that its still just a hyundai, i've been in my buddy's and the leather is better than our mbtex. But I still think the classic boxy look of the w204 if pure sex on wheels. I fall in love all over again everytime i walk into my garage.

Turbo making up the difference. Not to derail, but I think the W204 market could use a solid turbo kit to make up the lack of power these cars have. It's my only complaint as well- very disappointed in the aftermarket offerings too.
Sad to think that cars before and after put our sexy Merc's down easily.

Maybe something will come around.

From what I've read the 0-60 time for the new Sonata Turbo is still slower than our C350...somewhere in the mid 6's whereas C350 is anywhere from 5.8-6.2 sec. for 0-60 depending on who you ask. My car feels like a solid 6 second car completely stock. Of course I wish I had more power but HP rating is not everything, you must also take into account the transmission and we have a gem with this 7-speed auto that makes the car faster than a lot of cars with higher HP ratings.

The Hyundai is a lot of car for the money indeed but faster it is not and I've not yet driven a Japanese car that has the same road feel as a German car. I doubt the Sonata Turbo handles like a Benz or BMW. I have only had a MB for one year now and almost all previous cars were Japanese (which I still admire) but what MB gives you is that "feeling" where you're planted to the road in a solid well built machine. It's one of those things that you don't really understand until you drive a Benz. Our new 2011 Jeep GC Overland also kind of has that feeling but probably because it is built on the ML's chassis!

Hyundai/Kia is an up and comer no doubt and should cause all other makes to continue to up their game but I'm not ready to buy one just yet... I am excited to see what Mazda is going to do with their new design concept in a few years and a whole new line of engines.

Yeah the numbers look pretty decent. A nice bang for the buck car. Regular gas looks good too. But it's still a Hyundai...

Isn't MB releasing a Turbo version of the Cs in the future? I remember a while back on Gen Benz they had a poll about stamping on TURBO emblem...I think the future c63s are gonna be running tts as well...

Have you driven the new Hyundai? And my japanese G35 felt way more planted than my C class, my Dad's S, my Mom's ML, and my Mom's GL.

I've driven the new Hyundai Genesis Coupe track version.... Not bad, but it really felt cheap(I wanted to drive it as hard as possible). I also had the pleasure of driving the G37, what a great exhaust note and gauges.... thats about it. To make a short story long, I bought a Benz.

I loved my g37 sport coupe. The power and sound was astonishing, but the mechanical reliability is not like it is in my mercedes now. My 2 year beating definitely showed when I turned in the lease. My c300 on the other hand still takes the same beating and shows no signs at all!

The Sonata is a great car, when my girlfriend picked one up the guy showed us the first 2.0T they got and let me drive it, fast as hell. But also, loud as hell, and not in a good way. I heard everything from the 4 banger and it sounded like crap, especially on start-up. It might have the power, and price, but definitely not the luxury or refinement.
