I got the 55w slim digital ballast 8000k from DDM tuning. Was great quality, cheap, and because it was 55w, I didn't need a wiring harness or error eliminator. However, some people have reported that they do need them even though they got the 55w. Just make sure whether you get 35w or 55w, make sure its the digital slim ballasts. The old bulky analog ones are a bit cheaper, but they are crap quality and you will certainly need the wiring harness, and the bulbs will flicker upon startup.
The fogs just put in 35w 8000k, even though HID are cooler than halogen bulbs, they concentrate whatever heat they do have into a smaller area, thus, a 55w "might" be too hot and cause problems for a small hosing such as the fogs. But its up to you if you want to take the risk for 55w in the fogs instead of the 35w which have been shown to be tired and safe.
I have my 8000k LED from AZN_C300, his sponsor name on the forum is AZN_OPTICS I believe. His LEDs have resistors built in so that they don't throw error codes, are cheaper than most other LEDs and have been shown to last much longer and not prone to many of the failed solders other LEDs suffer from. They were specifically made for our w204, and Mike is a fellow w204 member.

Since my HID bulbs burnt out, I have switched back to halogens, but I really want to put them back in sometime and this time also do the fogs. I still have my 35w ballasts, but I wanted to go with 55w for the low beams. I was wondering if anybody has matching 55w low beams and 35w fogs since 55w flushes out more color than 35w. I was thinking of going 6000k in the low beams and 5000k in the fogs. I think this would be a close match.
