Exclamation How to remove the shift knob

can anyone tell me how I can remove my shift knob on my benz its a manual, I am trying to pain it black. I cant figure it out. Anyone know?

um, you're going to want to remove the shift boot first. You do that by squeezing the sides and it pops out. Then roll it up and there's a circular rubber piece that holds the boot to the knob. Once the whole assembly has been exposed, it's pretty simple to remove it the rest of the way.
