Buying new C300. End of the year deals?

I am buying a new C300 and hope to get an and of the year deal. I used Edmunds.com to estimate the "invoice" (not the MSRP indeed) price for the C300 + packages that I have chosen. Here is the question:
How much below the invoice price the dealer would be willing to sell considering it is the year-end sale? Any advice will be much appreciated!

I've seen a few examples recently of people getting a C300 with a decent options package for about $32k.

Personally? I'd drive a 300 for a day and then a 350 and see if you really don't mind the 300. Many consider it underpowered, however, it may be fine for you, just be sure.

I totally agree that a bit more power for C300 would help (eg C350 is a way to go), but it seems to be not available in the AWD option. I live in a state where we can snow every winter and it would be nice to have AWD. On the other hand, the C350 comes with P1 as a standard equipment and that is nice. I am still undecided whether I need these folding back seats, which is the main reason to get P1.
If I were to get C300 with heated seats and multimedia package should it fit within $32 K before tax?

With the MM package, maybe not. Truthfully it's hard to say. I'm fairly sure those < $32k C300's were probably NOT 4Matic but probably did have P1 but def not MM.

So it's a bit of a misleading baseline.

Especially because I think it doesn't so much matter the value of those packages as it matters the inventory glut they may have. If there is one 4matic left, for example, on that lot, you may not have the bargaining power you'd have if you were taking a car identical to 5 others they have there in the waning days of the year.

To the OP, If you are a AAA or Costco member check their buying services, they are a great deal without having to do any footwork. Sure you can beat the deals but it will take a few days by e mail or a couple of long dealer visits and sometimes its not worth the headache to save a few hundred dollars, especially if your local dealer is the AAA/Costco dealer. I am sure you can get the car for a bit below invoice but its up to you and yourself to see how good you can do.

Another thing to consider is the vehicle resale value. I found that there is a big difference between Edmunds, KBB and NADA estimates for private party retail in good conditions for 3 yr old 36,000 mi C300 4matic (only heated seats as an option).

The numbers are below: $ 21K / $ 25 K / $ 26 K. I wonder if anybody has recently sold a 3 yr old C300 or looked into getting one from a private buyer? If so, please, let me know what estimate is actually closer to the real numbers ...
