iPod/media interface issue
So earlier today my ipod interface was working just fine, but returning to my car I ran into a problem. Music is still playing in the vehicle through the ipod, but the screen no longer says title, artist, etc-- instead I just see entry #. On top of that, I can no longer scroll through tracks and when I try to use the main ipod menu, clicking on any option (playlists, artist, etc) only sends me to the same menu. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'd start with:
1. Disconnect iPod
2. Hard reboot of the iPod/iPhone (MIDDLE + MENU buttons for 5 secs until you see the Apple logo)
3. Reconnect iPod
Let me know if that helps.

mwaldron is absolutely correct. I have to do this every three weeks or so. You also do not need to disconnect, you can reset the iPod just pressing the round middle button and MENU (upper part of the ring) simultaneously and it will hard reboot in a few seconds.
Another symptom this will cure is if you select an Artist, and then a "No Album" message appears. The iPod seems to lose track of its directory, probably due to some bug in the interface software.
