C230 wiper motor replacement problem
My wiper system recently quit working, so I removed the assembly and pinpointed the problem to a stripped gear in the motor.
I ordered a new motor and installed it. However, the linkage appears to be bent. When I tighten the nuts that hold the linkage, I am no longer able to cycle the wiper transmission by hand. When I loosen the two nuts. it functions smoothly. Is this normal or do I need to replace the linkage as well?
