A buddy of mine drives a 335 and he's having it tuned by BMW for an extra 100 horsepower , I have to wonder if Mercedes does the same . I have a Powerchip tune but if Mercedes offers a tune even half of the BMW tune in terms of horsepower than I would jump right on it .

 

my friend had a chip on this 335 but he took it off in 2 days. i personally wouldnt want a powerchip on my car.
if u want speed try c63 its a beast

Good move. The 335s have been a problem for tuners - you could melt those turbos in STOCK form on a trackday. No idea why BMW ever sold those without the oil coolers ...

A chip on a non-turbo engine won't do much, so what's the point? Now, a 335 has a turbo engine, so the power gains are way more substantial.

 

Yeah, no way you're gonna see outputs anywhere near 335 with just a tune thanks to our N/A engines. That said, there are some dealers who do offer tunes, but only from the big boys like Kleemann and Renntech. If you already have a Powerchip tune, then just stand pat.
