thats a great point, glad to see u know tires. I personally wasnt aware 215/35/19 were 85 max, never seen one. Usually when using skinnys most are 18s, they are avail no prob but are also 40 profile. Either way u never downgrade load rating, only match or upgrade. problem is for the look some of us go for a certain tire size is needed. Solution is to run a skinny brand when needing smaller size and just upsize the rear to compensate for the proper sidewall stretch you are looking for.

my rims are coming in tomorrow. I have a quick question. The wheel offset in the rear is et48 19*9.5. I was wondering if I can run a 275/30 in the rear with out rubbing. I willbe lowered on the HR sport springs.

My rims are 19x8.5 ET42 fronts and ET48 in the back. I have a Canadian 2008 C230 sports package but non-4 matic.

Will the H&R super sport springs work for me? Heres a shot of my wheels with my stretched tires, sorry I dont have pics closer up:

with a +48 out back u will slightly rub the inner fabric on the passenger side on bad bottom outs only. Im slammed on 265/35/19 w skinny falkens and I rub once a while a tiny bit on that side. 275 will clear and 285 too w the fender, but the inner fabric is the prob. On sports u may get away w it, I did 275 stock ride height w +48 no problem, depending on the tire brand is the big deal w ur setup. 265 looks good, barely any difference w 275 ur talking 1/4 inch

post your tire brand and the sizes both front and rear. judging by the pics you have 225 F and 255 R. if its 35 F/30 R profile u will clear w SS's

Jimmy, My new wheels coming in couple of days. I went with 235/35/19 ET42 Front and 265/30/19 ET48 Rear. I'm planning to drop it with H&R SS springs. I should clear right?

I've run 215/35-19 on my Audi's for years and never had any problems with being under the recommended load rating. I understand what you are saying but my tires have always performed as they should. I've always run stretched setups so that alone makes the tires out of spec. I know hundreds of guys running the same setup including my tire guy with 30 years of experience that never had one issue. It all comes down do taking risks for the sake of stance. Aggressive setups are not optimal performance but look damn good

I have an 09 C300 Sport with the following setup;

19x8.5 +43 offset - 235/35ZR19XL (91Y) Michelin Pilot Super Sport
19x9.5 +53 offset - 265/30ZR19XL (93Y) Michelin Pilot Super Sport

After @ 6 weeks the car is finally settled. Didn't have any rub in the front until they settled, which is when I had the fenders rolled....it's all good now...rears never rub even with 3 passengers in the back...I think next set of rears will be 275's though...ive got plenty of room....

I hear ya....but just call me picky...I can't take the chance of a failed tire due to known overload and increased heat when I'm on the highway and my kids are in the back seat........not to mention I'm not a fan of spending $300+ per tire to replace due to premature wear...

depends on the tires u are getting. out back u are good, especially if you use the stock rear pads

I just put my vertini fairlady wheels on the car. I am lowered on sport springs. I had alot of rubbing in the rear with two people so I had to put the stock spring pad back on and now no rubbing. I am a little disappointed with the front drop. it wasent much. I like how the rear sits. could i do a supersport front spring.

you r cutting it close w that. I assume u got euro's or similar w that offset, and 235/265 will work w SS setups if the tires are skinny brand. Never heard of triangle, honestly I wouldnt run knockoff tires. Not worth saving 200 bucks to get a blowout or have tire issue and trash a rim, caust thats what happens when u have rims and get a flat, wheel gets F'd up. anyway back to sizes, 225/255 is a safer bet, if they are skinny u will be fine. If it does rub a bit its on the inside of the right rear and its just fabric on bad bottom outs. I would run the stock rear pads to be safe and its better for a 4matic to not be too low, easier on the drivetrain.....

cutting it close w the front, what tires u plan on running? That will clear w 35 profile in 19s, so if the MM conversion is straight up and true to size it will clear. Out back u can run a 5mm spacer to help the look. Go skinny brand to be safe. as a matter of fact everyone putting wheels on their cars should go skinny tires, its safer and less rubbing chance. Dont know why guys get wheels and then get OEM tires in low pro setups, IDK what the deal w that is?

Please do not install Triangle tires on a Mercedes! I wouldn't install Triangle tires on a hot wheels car......offshore JUNK!

Jimmy, I'm running the 235s and 265s with Supersport springs with no problems at all. It's not a 4Matic though......

I am running on a 2010 4matic 19-35-235 front and 19-30-275 rear with H&R Supersports no problems.

Ok. Got my 19's on the other day, 8.5 up front et45 9.5 rear also et45. I really like the way the fronts sit, but the rears poke tad bit too much for me & it seems like the rear passenger pokes a little bit more than the driver's side. Can I take them to a machine shop and have them take a couple mm's off the hub to make it like an et 48-50? Or should I try a rim/tire shop? How will I know how much meat they can take off without affecting the integrity of the rim? Sorry for all the questions, and I am at work 'til Sunday morning without my car, so I can't post any pics 'til then.

You will have to measure how much meat you have left from where the wheel bolt seats to the back hub face. You may be about to remove 30thou from the face but not much more. Again a good machine shop should be able to determine and measure how much to remove. If you are using factory bolt lengths, you won't be able to remove much, but if your wheel requires much extended bolts.. then I suspect you should be able to shave off at least 1mm.... or more.

you can go much more than that, I have two sets that I did 5mm on one and 8mm on the other. We are talking wheel hubs here, NOT the cars hubs, not sure people reading this know what I/we mean here. Most wheels are almost identical, they are just cast/forged w a thinner hub/boltup thickness to adjust for offset. Think about forged wheels, its the same wheel but they can make any offset you want, HOW? They adjust the cast and machine the wheels. U can simply call around and find a highend or good machine shop that does CNC routing. They will mont the rim and buzz off whatever u need and or what they think is safe. My BRABUS wheels were 30 out back and 35 out front, I did 5mm fronts and 8mm rears and I could have went more out back they are thick as hell..........
