Problem with installing the new Grill

I followed all directions and was able to install the new grill without any problems.

Before putting back the intakes and the radiator cover I decided to close the hood to check the fitting. As you can see in the pictures, the hood is not closing. I have included the pictures that show the problem.

I took it off to reseat it again, but the problem still exists.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions. I have to leave soon, so if I'm not able to fix it, I'll put the old grill back.

BTW, I have a 2011 model. I bought it from "55Tech" off of Ebay and noticed that he mentioned it is for 2008 - 2010 model. Is the size of the grill different for 2011? Could this be the reason?

interesting.... i dont think the size of the grill on the 2011 is any different than the 2010... maybe you should check back with 55tech and have them send you another to see if the fitment is still off. i have personally purchased a few 55tech grills and they fit pretty well. if all else fails, there are TONS of other online sites to buy some really high class aftermarket grills. message me and ill give you a lot of the sites i have bought grills from. trust me, i have bought at least 8 or 9, some for porjects, some to paint, some to just try some crazy stuff with haha.. good luck my man.

Judging by how your hood is rubbing against the outer border of the grille... It may be a fitment issue

Simply compare the grill to your stock grill and see if they differ in size.

I think the new C63 style grill that I got is not the right size even though it was made for our cars. I took it out and put it back three times. It aligns fine at the bottom and sides, but it is coming in the way for the hood to close.

I will return it back.

Let me know if there are any other vendors that you would recommend that have good C63 style grill.

Thanks.
