Sirius Failed, Anyone Else?
I've had my 2008 W204 for just over three years now. I recently decided to keep it for the longer term, so last week I switched my Sirius subscription to lifetime.
Just my luck, a week later, today, I get into the car and the Sirius doesn't work. It rotates between saying "updating channels," "acquiring signal," and "call to activate." Resending the signal does nothing.
I guess the module is probably haywire? I hope the dealer will have one in stock and be able to fix it easily.
Anyone else had problems with Sirius in your W204?
Oddly, in my SLK, I also have to have the module replaced, but on it, only because certain channels cut out.
In the W204, as stated, it just completely went out, so I hope the fix will last.
Sirius seems to be the weakest point in these cars! ha.

I had problems with my Sirius radio (as have others) but it seems too coincidental that yours did this at about the same time you changed your subscription.
Have you contacted Sirius about resending the boot signal? Might be worth trying out before making the trip to the dealership.

I purchased a pre owned 2008 and it said 'acquiring signal'. it was still under warranty and I took it to the dealership. the satellite radio tuner (i guess that's what it's called) was fry'd and they replaced it
