so I let my friend drive my car today and we decided to get some food at a drive thru. when we went in it was a really tight spot and he scratched the back passenger side rim! he said he would pay for w.e it cost to fix it but i dont wanna make him pay to much as hes a good friend.
anyone know of any good places in the GTA for a cheap price? or any DIY tips?

Well, the dealer doesn't do them directly, but ask them who they use on off lease vehicles. I asked on my old vehicle (my first one) and the rims didn't look pretty. I paid only $80 each rim to get them resurfaced and cleaned up. It looked great and you couldn't even tell that anything was wrong with them, you only saw a slight line around the area, but you had to get really close and inspect it. Better than paying $200-$300 for a new rim. And if the damage isn't even that bad chances are that they will do it for even cheaper.

Depending upon how deep the damage is there are several different DIY fixes. The above menioned bondo is one route, I however only use bondo if it's a slight blemish. If its fairy deep or in an area that will be be contacted when mounting new tires I use quicksteel metal epoxy.
I've done several set of wheels with this and the results are great. I did, a set of winter BBS's for my STI as well as my wife winter wheels for her Legacy GT. And I've neer encountered any issues
