- Mercedes-Benz C-Class: How to Install Door Speakers
Step by step instructions for do-it-yourself repairs

DIY: H/K Rear speakers
(I live in Norway, and because of expensive taxes it is most usual with small diesel engines. I you want the C63 in Norway, you have to pay about 280 000 usd)
I used about 3 hours with the first door, and 1 hour with the next one.
To save some work (maybe), I did not remove the outside door handle and the door lock casing.
It is very important to drill out the blind rivets with care, because the inner panel is very thin, and it is easy to drill a bigger hole then the head of the new blind rivets.
I hope this info is useful, and I also hope that you understand my english.
Picture nr:
1:Unscrew the 2 torx on the door panel.
2:Pull the door panel to you
3:Remove the wire for the door handle
4:Remove the locking pin
5:Remove the electric wiring
6:Turn the window aprox 5 cm down. Unfasten the window from the frame with 1 torx screw.
With your hands, pull the window back to the top of the door.

Drill out the 9 blind rivets (red mark).
Be very careful when drilling, I was a little uncareful and made a big hole in the inner panel. I then have to use a spacer on the blind rivets to cover the hole
8:
I carefully pulled out the inner panel without removing the outside door handleand the door locking case.
But you have to push the inner panel a little bit up,before you pull it towards you.
9:
Then I pulled the inner panel out, to allow space for the electric drill,
and drilled out 3 blind rivets from the old speaker
10:
Then you install the H/K speaker with the 3 blind rivets, and reverse the
operation.
For the speaker you need 3 blind rivets: A0009910037
And for the inner door panel 9 blind rivet each side: A0049902897

Furthermore, it sounds like you have a fantastic W204! Those prices are insane, C200 CDI sounds like a great choice indeed!
the trunk (will make a DIY of it), and I am very happy with the sound now.
I actually wanted to install the H/K Logic 7 system, but that was very complicated and the price would be about 2000 euro.
But I think the Infinity Kappa speakers will do the same job, or better, and it is easier to install.
