New CF alternative
I had ordered some of this and then a member began a post in the C63 section. It seems to be an alternative to real CF and 3M Di-Noc (which has a somewhat matte finish). It is also classified as an exterior film where as Di-Noc is an interior/architectural film and has a gloss finish.
Product info: 3M Scotchprint 1080 Carbon Fiber Vinyl Flex Wrap 1080-CF12
I'll keep everyone posted on my many projects to come
Thanks to member obsidian05e55 for the above photo. The phone is REAL carbon fiber.

Yeah, this stuff is great! Once the weather breaks here in NJ, and i can get my car out of the garage. Im going to do my interior trim, and the leading edge of my Arkym front lip. Ill popst pics when done, but it wont be for a month.
Im even thinking about trying it on the roof. Just to see how realistic it will look.

you are right, thats what I was looking for. Stickercity has a shiny one similar to yours but it is not as thick an durable. I was looking for durability not shiny material. I looked at both and decided on the stronger and less shinier CF.

The product I ordered (3M Scotchprint 1080) is the same thickness and is extremely durable. It is made by the same company as the Di-Noc.
Main difference is:
3M Di-Noc (matte)- an interior/architectural film that can be used for exterior application
3M Scotchprint 1080 (glossy)- designed to be used as a vehicle wrap so it is extremely durable
There are various films on the market produced by different manufacturers. My past experiences show 3M IS THE BEST.

I dont think it is hard at all. You do need another person to help and three people will be even better. The cutting may be a little tricky but I study architecture so Im an expert at cutting lol. I will do mine in about two weeks from now and let you know

Stickercity.com sells both films made by 3M along with less expensive, "generic" brands.
