I'm pretty sure they do. You can even see the hinge it turns on from your picture. You just really need to push though. But in case you have the muscle mass of the Hulk, don't push too hard :3

2008 C300 Sport 6spd man.
Your mirrors should fold by hand - just be FIRM! The only mirrors that you shouldn't fold by hand are the electric version, and MB stopped those in the C class after the 2008 model year (unless I'm mistaken?).
Interesting point - the 2008 electric mirrors CAN fold forward manually (toward the front of the car), but NOT fold aft manually without damage - wierd!

All cars have had 2-way folding mirrors and hood ornaments for pedestrian protection for maybe thirty years.
It's US Federal law.

well my 06 C230 didnt have folding mirrors AT ALL, the mirrors were stuck to the body of the car.
im scared to push too much on the 2011 c300 mirrors , i feel like im going to snap the mirror. i tried pushing IN towards the car and i also tried pushing OUT towards the car but none worked, even if i pushed it OUTWARDS though, what would that gain? what i want to do is to avoid someone scratching my mirror when my car is parked in the car garage you know( i park in a private building garage)

The mirrors, power folding or not, can be folded either direction just by pushing them. My 2008's original mirrors could be manually folded both ways and the new (not new anymore) style mirrors that I replaced them with (still power folding) are the same. But, there is no point on folding them forward because they don't fold far enough for any useful purpose.

Maybe you can't fold it because you aren't using premium gas! lolz Just push the mirror harder like you got a set of *****, it will fold.

no im not from canada im in NY, and i AM Using premium gas lol the thread was to help me decide what to use and i decided to use premium as it gives me better MPG
back to the mirror problem, i tried to push it IN towards the car and it just doesnt put in, maybe its locked in the bottom or something,
can someone shoot a few second video with an iphone or something showing how much force is needed to fold them in?
and just to be sure, there is no need to have the premium 1 package or any special package for the mirrors to fold right? (cuz i dont have the p1 package)

Did you try both sides? Just show those mirrors who's boss.
If you're so hesitant, go to the dealer for a demonstration (or call them). It has been 2-3 days since this posting. A quick dealer visit would've solved this already
