Fire Opal Red VS Mars Red?? Is it the same?
Hi, I am trying to purchase a aftermarket lip spoiler for my C300. There is an option to buy Mars Red, but no Fire Opal Red. I called MB dealer and they said my paint was 59U (fire opal red). After googling a few minutes I have read my paint is called Fire Opal in Canada but mars red in America (but I'm not in Canada, so I'm confused).
If I have fire opal red (Canadian name for paint), do I have mars red (american name for the paint)?

A bit hard to follow, but I'm guessing you're a Canadian now in Atlanta. Do a quick Google search. The results show a list of threads from various forums, and the conclusion seems to be that they are the same color, but that there are US names and "International" names.

did you buy your car new or used?
if you bought used, there are so many canadian cars that get driven here (florida) by snowbirds and sold down here, so it's not surprising if you actually have a canadian car.
