Is this a scaled down version of the MB UMI?

Look at this! They say it only cost $295! Is this just an enhancement for the MM equipped cars? I'd love to have this for my non-MM car just to be able to stream Pandora (and maybe read text and email). I really don't need the SATNAV option.

The Media Interface Plus requires a 2009+ C Class with Multimedia.

What he said! On the R171, it's getting a pretty crappy reputation, in the when you are paired to stream, the voice quality for calls seems to go bad..

On the other hand, the MI itself, with proper iPod integration, is finally a product worth having.

Ah, I was so excited for a sec but looks like my '08 with MM won't cut it. The SMS reading over bluetooth would be great.

Yes, the regular Media Interface is leaps and bounds better than the old iPod kit that was only controlled through the steering wheel buttons.

the compatibility list above is incorrect for the C class, you need to be 2010 and above
