DIY non multimedia ipod connection
a cd must be in to use aux
once ipod is also connected
pic1. press disc
pic2. once the cd display is on
pic3. select the cd menu
pic4. scroll down to and select aux
pic5. the aux display will show on your radio display but no ipod information
pic6. your ipod information will show in your cluster display

maybe im crazy but i swore i tried pressing the disc button dozens of times and nothing happened. so when i put a cd in and pressed the disc button i finally got to that screen. now with no disc in it goes right to aux. idk but it all works now

huh? i dont understand.. in my 2011 c300 i have the stock audio 20 system with cd player and the aux , no ipod kit or anything.
U are saying u found a way to display song names from ipod with the Aux connection? hows that even possible?

I have stock radio with an ipod connection in the glove box. It doesn't show on the radio screen but it does show song names on the
cluster mount as in the last pic. The directional pad on the left side of the steering wheel controls the song changing

You need the Ipod Interface installed, some come from the factory, most are MB dealer installed. Check your options list, or get the iPod Interface from your dealer. OR get theUMI (Universal Media Interface), the MB dealer can compare your VIN against a list of vehicles that can accept this interface.
