hey guys, I have a question..
I recently hit 20k and my car requires a Service pack b? is that normal? and how much does it usually cost? the MB near my place asking for 450 or a VIP package for 595 (includes two free service A, + other stuff)

thanks in advance

Service B is usually an Oil change, brake fluid flush (at 2 years), wiper change, and tire rotation (if applicable) along with a cabin air filter change. On the east coast, $450 is a decent price if it includes all of those items above. However, on the west coast it is common to pay less than $275 for such a service.

Try looking around your area for promotions. If it is less than 2 years, I would forgo the wipers (unless you need them), the cabin air filter change, and the brake fluid flush. And just get an oil change for under $100. Then you can always buy the other stuff yourself and follow the DIY for the wipers, and cabin air filter. Brake fluid flush is a bit extreme ever 2 years IMO, 3-4 years sounds more appropriate

read your service manual, and yes oil change is needed but you probably will need a brake fluid flush as well..probably need to lube the sunroof too..
remember, if you can't provide evidence that you follow the service manual guideline, you may run into warranty issue if your dealer claim you didn't properly maintain your car..
