The vinyl comes off easy just needs some cleaning with goo gone to get rid of any residue. As far as the center goes no it can't be swapped the Star is a little larger than the OEM sport.

Lol, sorry about that... I don't know of a shop that will specifically black out your housings. Your best bet is to sit in front of a computer, go to google maps and search for auto shops and call and ask...

@ Ron Jr: That sure puts a hamper on things... Darn, I was really hoping for the mesh, the glass emblem kinda "ruins" it IMO.

If you do get it done on a place in Long Island, be sure to report back where and how much they charged you. This is on my to-do list, but I am a bit unsure about taking my headlights out and putting them in my oven, lol.

If you're in DH, go to Tone's Tunes. I've had good luck in the past with them. At the least, for auto electronics. Don't know for headlights. I'd be inclined to go to Syosset for good bodywork and available resources.

I've heard mixed reviews on them. But I am going to try them out for my audio upgrade this time around to the infinity kappa in car and the boss low profile sub in the trunk. Hopefully I won't get raped... Haha.

Syosset does have a bunch of good places. One place I commonly use is Cavalier Auto Body on Jericho near Walt Whitman Mall. They do GREAT work and the paint matches almost PERFECTLY. They are a bit expensive, but the work is impeccable. And who cares about the price if insurance is paying for it... lol

The place I used in Syosset was the independent in the lower level of Syosset Ford. That guy is good.

Haha, reading back, I should have made some distinction that I knew that Cavalier wasn't in Syosset. I meant to say that I have heard good things about Syosset body shops in general, but the place I use is in Huntington, and I know first hand that they do GREAT work as well. My sister got t-boned in her brand new 2011 w204. They fixed it up real nice, complete new door, and fixed the rear door and lower body molding. At first she was PISSED that her less than 5,000 mile car was in an accident, but honestly, you would never know, the job was that good; besides for the car-fax... Good things its a lease.

syosset ford is gone now... i didnt know they had a lower level with a shop

i have friends who went to martinos they did good work IMO... there is another shop in glen cove but i think it might have moved into sea cliff... i think its called maximum tuning, guy named jeff owns it he did good work on my cadillac
