just received this and had it installed this morning by my local MB dealership. Looks great and feels much bettter than the plastic shift knob. There are many knob upgrades for the automatics .... but this is the first that I'm aware of for the 6 speed manual........ pix were taken with my blackberry. Mine is birds eye maple and I got it through Jerry @ Formymercedes.

My security software lit up when I tried to visit them...some type of malware problem. Your knob fits your trim nicely...did you see anything which works better than the standard knob in a car with aluminum trim? Thanks!

as far as I know, he may have burl walnut, carbon fiber, and like what I received, Birds eye maple coming in soon. I was the test subject with this little project, and was adamant about having an MB tech do the install since we manual afficionados spend alot of time using our gear shift. I've had it on for 2 days and love the feel of the piece. ( there is a indented upper ring on the OEM plastic knob that bothered my hand , and with this new piece the whole shifter is smooth). The piece really ties in well with the OEM wood in the car, and brings a more luxurious look. The MB tech concurred on how good the upgrade looked and said the manufacturer did a great job....... now if you have an interior with aluminum, I'm not sure how these would look, but if you have burl, BEM, or CF then this is a perfect upgrade
