So just yesterday I got an alert that my right from parking light was out. this is one of the lights in the eyelid.

What would I need to replace these?

Pull out the LED and make sure there's no component separation from install error, if so, check your other LEDs and pull them out slightly to save those ones. PM me your address as well as the color and I'll shoot you a replacement

I don't think he has LED's in there now? It sounds more like his original halogen bulb went and he wants to replace with LEDs?

If thats the case you need the 194 type wedge LED. AZNoptics.com carries them in 5000K (pure white) or 8000K (blue). Each eyelid takes 2 LEDs (so four total if you want to match them all. And each purchase comes in a set of 2 LEDs, so you will need 2 sets of LEDs to replace your eyelids with LEDs.

On the other hand, I could be completely wrong about you talking about the stock yellow halogen eyelid bulbs, in which case, let mike know your issue with the LED and see if you can get a replacement.

Ah, ok, your OEM light went out. Yeah, my 194 LEDs would be what you want as jctevere said. I'll on occasion get failures due to install error, which is what I thought you were talking about, but I just checked my records and you weren't a previous customer.

Read my post above yours. They are not LED, they are halogen bulbs. Refer to information above about the type of LED you will need and the quantity as well as your options for color.

hey AZN, just thinking here, but do you have D1S HID bulbs and HID kits for the fogs that use the same bulb? So for instance, 5000k Headlights fogs eyelids and side markers, with no color difference?

In my experience the kelvin rating is the same with different brands but with slight color difference.

Right now i'm running 8000k all around but getting bored with that, so 5000k i my next project for the car.

I would really like identical color temps on the front end.

I'll have my HID kit and replacement D1S bulbs hopefully by end of April/beginning of May.

One thing to keep in mind though is that HIDs and LEDs are different beasts. LEDs you can get very precise in terms of kelvin rating while HIDs you get a kelvin range which you can easily see as the HID powers up. Pretty much digital vs analog. We already did a test of our 4300K-5000K D1S bulb and will be bringing in our 5000K-6000K D1S bulb to see which matches best with 5000K LEDs. Add to that you'll see variations depending on 35w vs 55w and the projector housing.

Get some needle-nose pliers, do a lefty-loosey twist, and pull. The driver's side is especially difficult, and the pliers help a bunch.

Yes there is a trick. explain to your girlfriend to very carefully pull the two wires straight back towards the engine compartment. Haha. I was able to squeeze my huge hands in to do the passenger but the woman had to to the driver side. As much as it killed me to let her start pulling on wires in my car. She was able to do it much easier.

so you just pull on the wires?? i twisted it but it just seems like it's not threaded in anyway cause it just keeps spinning... but i'm kindof weary about pulling on wires guess i should try a pair of needle nose..

oh also forgot to mention the turn signals look nice! i'll see if i can snap some shots..

Yeh I'm not excited to pull on wires either but its not very easy to get a grip of the harness. They are not threaded just push in and pull out. Twisting it left to right might loosen it up a bit. I made sure i grabbed both wires as opposed to just one, and pulled firmly but slowly and all four came out nicely.

just pressure held, not twisting needed (except to maybe loosen any grime buildup). pulling on the wire can work, but I'd suggest against it as more than one person has pulled the wire off the connector by accident. Just get some needle nose pliars and grip the plastic connector, then pull.

Thanks for making all of these available! I had just bought the stealth halogen bulbs last year for my turn signals, but looks like I will be changing again. So white is illegal in most states? I'm in Illinois...but the white looks really good in the video you posted. I noticed that the new 5-series beamers have red LED turn signals, they look good too.

Update: The HID kit we're working on will have the error canceller built into the ballast to make install easier. These will be canbus HID kits. We're going to be doing an initial run on H7s only but will introduce others later. We'll have 5000K in 35w and 55w and a few 8000K in 35w and 55w. Hopefully by beginning of May.

Michael, when the HID kits come out, can you see if you can test those on a P2 car with the corner illuminating foglight function? The HID fogs I have right now flicker on whenever I turn the wheel/signal if I keep my lights on auto and not on the headlights+foglights on function. I'm hoping that these will just turn on without any flicker if possible.

finally got it done that was a freaking pain on the drivers side... and pulling the wires is better.. however one of the leds i got when i shake the led or move it it cuts on and off.. not in a pattern but say if i hit a bump in my car it'll cut on and off... think the bulb has a bad function and then i switched the bulbs and samething happens on the other so i think i got one faulty led wedge bulb..

If it follows the bulb, then that's fine, I can warranty it. I'll shoot you a replacement.
