DDM Hids

I just received my hids this weekend and installed them. I ordered the 55w 8000k's but they are not as bright as I thought they would be... I'm thinking they may have sent the 35w but know way to confirm this.... Is there anyway to tell???

Also intresting side note these hid's were shipped from China... Appears that u just place ur order with DDM and then they get them shipped out of china... It's like a middle man

55w ballasts are larger than 35w ballasts. According the DDMTuning website, "The 55W system ballasts are about 1 cm longer than the 35W ballasts." You probably don't have a 35w ballast to compare it to. Haha.

Also, 55w kits tend to wash out some color, so you're 55w 8000k kit should look similar to 6000k, which is white with a hint of blue.

I have the 55w DDM 8000k kit as well. The problem is, yellow lights wash out the color, they really are very bright, but you have to have no yellow street lights or anything to wash them out. When you drive on an unlighted road you can really see how bright they are. In fact, I prefer to drive on unlighted roads because I can see better than on roads with yellowish street lights.

DDM used to ship to their warehouse and then to you but after a warehouse move they are now shipping directly from China. According to them it means we get product sooner. If thats true IDK, but thats the line from them

I think the sticker on the ballast should mention 55w. I received my 55w 8000k DDM kit from China about 2 weeks ago, so far so good.

Post pics of your install, package, etc if you don't mind...

I am about to order the kit for my 2007 ML350, just the low beam, maybe fogs as well, but have not decided yet, I was going to do the 6000K, and 55W

So i did some looking on the web and found the dimensions of the 35W and the 55W.... 35W is approx 8.5cm and 55W is approx 9.3cm.

So to make a long story short I ordered the 55W and they sent me 35's.

I did a issue ticket on there website lets see how they handle this.

Anybody have a similar issue with DDM????
