Hi, I'm looking at purchasing a new 2011 C350 with the Harmon Kardon sound system option but no multimedia package. Would you recommend this car without the multimedia package as far as sound goes? I don't quite understand what you don't get with the sound system in this case? Perhaps no DVD drive? If that is the case, how do you obtain Dolby 5.1 surround? This particular car has the dynamic handling package, so that's why I would forgo the multimedia package since it's not included, unfortunately. Thanks!

Yes, go for the HK system. Includes the Logic 7 surround sound (5.1).

I would have to agree. The HK system sounds absolutely amazing whether or not you have the extra multimedia package.

Great. So that's discrete 5.1 sound, like from DVD-Audio or SACD, and not just 5.1 processed 2-channel sound?
