I want eyebrows.

The darkest tinted ones possible, I think black vinyl might look cheesy. What's the easiest route? does anyone sell them pre-cut? Could I do them myself?

Whats the point of having eyebrows if they blend into the hood?

I have eyebrows, dark vinyl.. my opinion if your going to do it, make sure the vinyl is dark and quality. So no light shines thru, then it will look cheesy. your only other option is paint them. Paint would look better, but then it starts to get rock chips. Atleast vinyl can be replaced much cheaper. good luck

Where could I purchase Lamin-X? I don't want to cut them on the headlight, it seems like it'd be too easy to scratch the headlight...

Lamin-X.com for Lamin-X they sell it by the roll. I don't remember how long or how much.

There used to be a seller on E-bay called aggresive overlays or something like that. He made very nice smoked vinyl for the eyelids, mirror, side marker and center of the tail light. I had the full set at one point. Took the eyelid off as I like the way the lids look, bought smoked side markers so those were taken off and finally I got CF covers for the mirrors so that one left.

I recently got eyelids and love the look. I'll have to post some pics. It's paint matched perfectly with the black.

Please do. What's the procedure for doing them? How does one trim vinyl without scratching the lens?

I would mock up a cardboard template then trace onto lamin-x flip template, rinse, repeat. Also to get it darker you could double up on the lamin-x.

Matt that's not a bad idea, but the light has a curve to it, as does the eyebrow, which will likely complicate things drastically...

Use thick paper, construction paper, thin flexible cardboard...
OR
Use painters tape mask it off
Peel tape off
put tape on laminx
cut

Matt beat me to it. Painters tape is the easy way to go.

I remember there used to be CF eyebrows that some company in Japan made along with their widebody w204. If you're set on masking out the brows, and if you have other CF pieces, that might be an option

Here are the pics:

I also had the place I went to cover the amber reflectors on the front bumper. I am happy with how it looks. The eyelid matches the back nicely.

I've tinted tail lights and worked with vinyl, my big concern is how to get the perfect curve/edge like in the pics above without cutting/scratching the headlight with the x-acto knife?

You need some stealth bulbs to get rid of the egg yolk.

No offense, but I do not think they match at all - did the paint shop use the correct paint code or just whatever black he had in the shop? Why "kill" the eyelid light all together? Just curious...

Yea I see what you are saying from the pics I posted. They really do match well. I would take them off immediately if they didn't. Damn iPhone camera.

I'm sorry, but is it possible for you to take some better pics? I'm really deciding if I should do this, and yours looks good but better pics would really help me decide.
