so ive done a lot of research on hid's headlights and how it works on mercedes. i was going to order the ddm slim kit with error eliminator. as i was doing the research i found that hid's are a bit different on canadian cars.
in canada we have a law that requires drl for safety reasons, for the 2010 c-class they use the lowbeams for the drl. it works by sending less power as if it was on at night. so if i were to install hid's the bulbs would flicker and not get enough power.
is there anyway aroud this problem? i really like the look of hid's but this is the only thing that is holding me back. i heard that connecting the bulbs or ballast to the battery might work because that would supply the power.
any suggestions?

you'll need a "relay wire harness" this will draw direct power from the battery instead of the factory switch harness.
Easy to install and should solve the issue.
Cost is around $10 usd I think.
You can search google images to see how its wired up but its really self explanatory when you get the harness. Just make sure you get a good Ground connection to the chassis
