Smells like 4th of July sparklers
Hey gang....
So was at a wedding yesterday had a few cold ones so I had my fiancee drive us home. Incidentally she drives a W203....
I hopped out as she was pulling into our garage and man oh man did the car smell like heat and the unmistakeable smell that 4th of July sparklers make.
Fiancee is smart as a whip and I asked her if she drove home with her foot on the brake - nope. I watched her and listened to he release the e brake...
Any ideas????? While we were driving she asked how to move the car from comfort to sport so I pushed the button....
Ideas? BTW -- has 268 miles, yes 268.

My family leases many cars, so we ususally get a new one every year or so with my big family. This is normal for almsot any of the ones that we get. I just write it off as the engine breaking in and such. Never had any issues. IF it persists drive around a bit and bring it to the dealer (while the smell is present) so that they can check vitals, etc.

mine had a little smell too the one day when I pulled into the garage and closed the door kinda fast. Like the exhaust burning in. I wouldnt worry too much if theres no smoke but if it happens repeatedly maybe have teh MB dealer scan it.
