Read Door Trim Issue -- Anybody Identify This?
Hey guys, cleaning the car yesterday. Noticed this strange material on the rear passenger-side door. I clean the car regularly and haven't noticed this before but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. It's not very noticable.
As you can see in the pictures, it's a flap of fabric. When pushed up, ti blends in with the black vinyl so it doesn't stand out.
There are actually 2 of these on that door. I forgot to check the drives side but when I go down to my car later I'll check.

Looks like someone removed the door panel and didn't do a good job reinstalling, or used some sort of wedge cleaning tool to get the edges but got caught and pulled out some fabric.
use a plastic wedge tool (like a credit card, or trim wedge if you have one) and shove it back in.

Aww man you're right. I had an issue with the door lock back there. It did a jackhammer thing and they had to replace the motor. Great service actually, a 350 loaner and they over-nighted the part.
Have no idea how I forgot about that.
I'll try the credit card trick. But no big deal if it doesn't work, I'm sure next time it's in the shop they'll take care of it. I've had good experience with them. Mercedes Benz of Sarasota.
(Ooh and they just moved into a new building, too. looking forward to checking that place out. It's a palace)
Thanks!
