The best that I can deduct from all I've read is that mufflers and K&N's are about it as far as you can go with these V6's. $350 for maybe 5HP just isn't cost effective. If anyone knows of something different let me know.

K & Ns have no real proven HP. The best your gonna do is headers, exhaust, ECU tune. That will get you a solid 30hp. If you have a 3.0 its tough, the 3.5 is much better and responds better. These cars are cosmetic mods mainly, motor is limited. Brabus does a 4.0 overhaul for like 8k thats 330 HP if you have the $$$. You can also do motor swaps but thats big $$$

Were is a reliable place to get a ECU tune. That 4.0 for 8K doesn't sound to bad. Well, maybe not. A blower swap and fuel feed upgrades will yield you 700 to 750 RWHP on a little 4.6 Ford Cobra. But I'm resolved to just do the basics and drive this C300 Sport. MCD Motorsports in Knoxville has been recommended to me so I'm going to give them a call. I'm still looking for a chip or a tuner. Oh, btw I've seen 60RWHP by changing out to K&N but not on this.

ECU tune + exhaust and K&N filters you are looking about 300hp +

Take advantage of the powerchip special they have a new tune that offer more HP

By simply removing the air box and adding a conical K&N air filter we picked up 60 RWHP. Opening the exhaust netted 35 to 40 RWHP. With just a tune and the other 2 mods I netted a total of 484 RWHP on the dyno. For those who don't know about the Terminator the engines were hand built with forged crank, Manley rods, forged pistons, with a Eaton super charger on top. You can't pull any air through a 3" opening.

Aren't they the ones that say you'll get a 5 to 10 HP gain for your $350 tune?

you'll get 20 in a 350, not a 300. its more like 10hp from what I read. I did the tune on my new 350 and notice a difference. I havent run it yet to actually clock it but its something better than stock
