Thanks.
Ya, they are from the C63AMG but the fogs aren't DRLs now. I've set them up to run just like the fogs did before I put the LEDs in. So my headlights are still my DRLs and I manually turn on the LEDs like fogs.

Thx again.
The c63 headlight swap was actually a nightmare. I was hoping for plug n play and no way that was happening. I actually ended up retrofitting the entire light portion of the lights from my stock headlights into the housing of the C63 headlights. Was a pain but I love the final look of them so was worth it in my opinion.

car looks great but -1 for blacked out tails.
Havent you heard enough horror stories about people being held 100% liable in the event of accidents just because of their tinted tails, or not enough yet?
i guess its "cool" but really not worth the look...

They actually look darker in the pics than they do in person...they are still very bright at night, only 'medium' tint. I'll take the -1 though if you feel strongly about it.

Wait, so these don't dim when your headlights come on? That's pretty bright... Any night-time pics? You ever get anyone complaining about blinding or people flashing their brights at you?
My sister has a 2011 with this oem and when I turn her LED off and back on when its nighttime, they startup at the bright setting for a split second and then dim down to night time setting. But when its at full brightness those LED are pretty darn bright! I could definitely see it distracting other drivers.

Hey everyone,
Finally got a chance to swap out the 2009 round fogs for the new LEDs. I was terrible taking pictures as I didn't take any until the bumper was ready to go back on but I'll give a quick explanation. The LEDs are all OEM from the dealership. Cost about $900 for everything, that includes back brackets, lights, front grill pieces, chrome trim piece and some hardware.
1) Remove front bumper.
2) Remove fog light trim grills and lights.
3) Dremmel the fog light opening completely (round fog opening is completely different from LED one so you need to clear out the room for the new housing/light. This is ok because the new lights almost 'sandwich' together for a nice snug fit in the bumper.
4) Install the light to the back bracket into the bumper. Use the little metal selp-tapping clips to secure the light to the back bracket.
5) Install the front grill trim piece to the back bracket.
So that is it to get the new fogs/LEDs in place. Now comes the electrical
1) Insert some sort of electrical conductor to properly make contact with the LEDs positive and negative contacts in the light. I connected them with small clips (sorry, I don't have a pic but I can PM anyone a pic if they want to do this) with a wire sticking out so now from my fog, I have a positive and negative wire sticking out.
2) On the car, remove the connector that went into the old style halogen fogs to just leave 2 wires, again the positive and negative of the car's electrical system.
3) At this point, I tested a direct connection and sure enough, I had flickering due to the car recognizing the low draw of the LEDs and down grading from 12V to about 3 which caused the flicker. A simple capacitor installed between the connection was enough to solve the problem.
4) Soldered the fog to the capacitor then to the vehicle's fog wires and bingo, LED fogs
5) I also added LED strip eyebrows at this point but that's not really related to this so I won't go into that.
6) Installed the bumper back on and now have new LED fogs.
Here are some pics of the back of the light prior to reinstalling the bumper and then the new look. Enjoy!

LEDs 221-820-17-56, 221-820-18-56
Back housing 204-885-28-14, 204-885-29-14
Chrome pieces I ordered separately and now can't seem to find the part #s.
Basically you need 4 things per side:
The LED light, the back plastic housing, the front plastic grill and the chrome finishing trim. With that, you will also need the small piece that connects into the back of the LED light but if you have your service department bring it up on screen, it's pretty obvious what parts you'll need.
Hope that helps a little.

Hi.
I have installed front led light on my W204 (08 mod) the same way you have describe and installed also a capacitor Al 105deg 150uF 25 parallel in the circuit, as you have describe. But still are mine led light flashing on and off. What have I done wrong

Make sure of these two things:
1. Make sure the capacitor polarity is correct
2. The capacitor must be connected at the input of the LED light housing - nowhere else.
