Switching my car to CLS550?

How are you?
I'm an owner of C300, 2008, mileage around 30,000.

I'm thnking about chaning my car to CLS550 2007 50,000 miles.
I don't drive a long distance and my workplace is just near my apartment.
I was suprised there was not a whole a lot price difference between c300 2008 and cls550 2007.

I love my C300. I think I need more horse power and bigger room.
What do you think?

Consider gas mileage, as a gallon WILL go up to $6 in the near future. And you are in Texas, which is TWICE the size of all of Germany!!!

The older MB V8's are quite thirsty, and use nearly twice the gas around town, and about 50% more on the highway.

Although I shouldn't be preaching here, my V12 is thirsty too. And I also have cravings for a large-engined E or CLS, which are a different category of vehicle for sure. So go for it, just don't complain at the gas pump.

Tbh if you think about gas mileage and price of gas then you bought the wrong car. I hear Hondas are roomy though =D I loved my CLS63

I think you have to worry about the maintenance cost more than the gas price. I believe it gonna be pain in the *** to maintain a 5 years old CLS550! Plus, you might also consider the resell value. For example, how much is the CLS550 worth after 5 years and how much is your C worth after 5 years? and the difference you have to pay in order to upgrade to the CLS. To be honest, i love the CLS550! I mean if you can afford it .. then go for it !
