Anybody here with the 2011 W204 beep when your lock and unlock your car?

i know the the prior W204s beep when you lock and unclock it, but did MB remove the beeping for the 2011s??

Yes they did. I believe it honks the horn now from what I have read on here

yeah the 2010 C300 luxury trim loaner honked when u lock/unlock it, but my 2011 doesnt been or honk?

i just blinks :/

theres an option in the menu where you can turn on or off the honking of the horn when you lock and unlock your car. Well that is the case with my 2010 c250 cgi.

I know a few people with the 2011s and 2010s and theirs just has a different beep. From what I heard though you have to get the alarm or something. I didn't know it was a separate option now but supposedly it is...anyone wanna confirm?

go to settings then vehicle then there should be an option for acoustic vehicle lock or something along those lines.

the 2010 C still beeps like the 08 and 09. the 2011s honk, has nothing to do w options or alarms. In the cluster settings using the steering wheel arrows there is the options on preference and u can turn off the audible unlock lock feature and it will blink or blink and honk.

The beeps in the 2008 - 2010 are lame. Can't hear them in heavy traffic, rain, airports, etc. The horn would have been better (IMO). I constantly have to lock the W204 twice and pay attention to the lights, all my other vehicles REALLY let you know when you lock or unlock them.

Well said guys, i got the acoustic response enabled and yes the honk is much louder than the beep.

My 2008 beeps and flashes light: three times when Lock and two times for Unlock. It is LOUD, I wish I can lower the beeps like the 2010 loaner car.
