My experience with a 2010 C300 Loaner

I had a check engine light on my ML diesel and got a c300 loaner. I was pleasantly surprised by how awesome the car felt. It reminded me of my 01 bmw 330i. it felt quick, stable, and quite comfortable. the one I had was nicely equipped with keyless go and navigation. The navigation system seems to be leaps and bounds better than the DVD-based version. I am seriously considering getting one in the near future. I haven't driven the c350 yet but i'm sure it's even better with the extra ponies. hope this helps anyone who is on the fence about the c300.

2010 C300 Sport
The new C350CGI will have 306 HP and more torque, the C300 stays put at 228 HP. Plus the new 2012 interior. Interesting that you compared the C300 with an E46 330i, as there two in the family (one an M variant). I find them dissimilar but both excellent vehicles.

The C350 will never be the rocket that the SLK55 is. A new SLK55 is rumored to be on its way, 0 to 60 in the low 4's. Perhaps a C63 in the meantime...?

I just bought a 2010 C350 and were very very disappointed with the power compared to the C300. All 3 of us tested drive the C300 and C350 at the same dealer and we all didn't feel the different in power at all. Stick with the c300 and save $$$.

I drove a c350 recently. Best car I have ever driven. Just fantastic power, feel, and handling. And I also drove an Audi and a BMW to compare it to. The C350 was far better, it wasn't even close. My wife felt the same way. I haven't driven a c300 but they get almost the same gas mileage so I'd go for the extra ponies.

2011 C350 has more stuff than C300 and can't be ordered without. My saleman and I calculated the "equivalently" equipped C350 should be about $2500 more than C300. I didn't even test drive C350 as I know I don't need that much power. C300 power is more than enough for my need.

???
there is a HUGE difference in the 2 cars, the 350 is noticeably faster. Ive had 2 C350s and I had my 2011 in for some TSB and I ran a few errands instead of waiting in a C300 loaner. Felt like my car just alot less power. big difference unless u just putttttt around and dont ever get on the car, the C63 will feel slow too
