They are flush when locked (easy to do in front, takes more in back to get them flush). You can rest your arm on the top of the door trim panel without the door pin sticking up into your arm.

When i hear door pins, and because i have installed them before when they are worn out, its the hinge pins....so these are just for the locks that pop up and down?

I believe the fronts just screw on and off. The rears however pop on and off. Most people to secure them in the rears simply just apply glue or shave off the current ones and snap these on top.

That was some fast shipping.
I got the fronts on no problem, but the backs........I left em alone for now. I used all the strength I have I'll try again later.

Using pliers to grab, twist, and pull up in one motion? Careful with the new ones going on in the rear...if you try to snap them back onto the post, you could wind up pushing the post down into the door trim panel! I compromised and accepted a little bit of the pin sticking up when locked to avoid having to detrim both rear doors.

I'll give that a shot. I just gave it a nice upward motion pull without the twist. I remember reading ur post on it about the glue I'll def go that route if/when I get them off.
Thanks
