Trunk badge removal?

Anyone know how to remove the trunk star badge. I have gained access to it, it looks like chrome studs through white plastic rings. Do the studs push through the rings or do you pull the rings off individually with pliers.

Yes, peel back the trunk liner and use a phillips screw driver and stick the tip in each stud and push the badge out...dont use a screwdriver to pry it off from the outside....you risk breaking it and scratching your paint. Do it the right way with no regrets

hahahaha WIN!

Seriously though you could probably get under it with floss or something? It isn't glued or taped or screwed on.

Great thread - all worked well

I removed my Mercedes emblem (circle with three point star) right off the trunk - pushed with Philips Head screw driver - no issues - worked great in about 45 seconds.

The E 420 logo was removed with dental floss. Knew there was a reason my dentist gave me that stuff. Sawed the floss back and forth like the hygienist does, and the individual emblems just popped off.

This thread saved me $$$$$.

Thanks

I know you know what the emblem looks like, but wanted to clarify.
